A GARDEN IN SANT DANIEL

Architecture and Landscape Project in Sant Daniel, Girona. In a natural setting like that of Sant Daniel, this project starts from a clear premise: to intervene with respect, integrating architecture and landscape. The garden of an existing house is addressed, adapting to the steep slopes of the land and preserving the elements that give character to the place, such as some pre-existing stones that are kept as a fundamental part of the proposal.

The intervention is resolved with the creation of a porch that articulates the outdoor space, planters that define pathways, and a functional area that includes a closed laundry room and a complementary toilet. The solar orientation guides the placement of the volumes, favoring comfort and the use of natural light.

The project plays with levels to create a functional terrace and a vegetable garden area, responding to the client's desire to inhabit the garden in an active way and connected to the environment. The result is a serene, balanced space that is fully integrated into the landscape of the valley.
